Our Story

Maresa and Andres are visionary serial entrepreneurs who relocated from Argentina to California in 2018, driven by a passion for excellence in hospitality and culinary experiences. With a deep appreciation for refined restaurant culture, they spent years immersing themselves in the local dessert scene. Their search for a dessert destination that matched the authenticity and innovation they once enjoyed in their hometown—and in Italy—left them inspired to fill a gap in the market. Maresa and Andres saw a unique opportunity to elevate the gelato experience into something extraordinary. After a full year of market research, they traveled to Italy to attend SIGEP—the world’s most prestigious artisan gelato and pastry expo—where they connected with multi-award-winning Chef Maximiliano Maccarrone. Recognizing their bold vision, Chef Maccarrone partnered with them to create the flavors

for Benedetto: a reimagined luxury gelato and dessert experience, rooted in tradition but boldly innovative.

Meet our Team

Benedetto was born in 2024 in the heart of Maresa and Andres with the

desire of bringing the Argentinan-Italian gelato experience to California US.

Our team consists of seasoned gelato artisans, culinary experts, and hospitality professionals, guided and mentored by Chef Maximiliano.

Andres Ferreira

Founders

Music Producer and Business entrepreneur with years of experience helping artist all across the continent with image, branding, and music. Co owners of a diverse Argentinian Businesses with his wife. 

Maresa Peralta

Serial entrepreneur and business owner. After working for companies such as American Express, she started owning several businesses and companies in Argentina.

Our Chef

MAXIMILIANO MACCARONE

President of the AFADHYA, is well-known for serving gelato to Pope Francis, winning third place in the Gelato World Cup, and helping open successful gelato shops across the continent. He’s the co-owner of Helados El Podio, a Gelato Shop chain with 9 shops in Argentina.
